BMW has been popular for manufacturing futuristic cars and it has already launched 4 models in the I series which are nothing but electric cars. There had also been a lot of news about BMW i4 and it is known to be the 5th model in the popular I series. Let us move ahead and share more details about BMW i4 with you.

It is known that BMW had been working on i4 model which is going to be launched with an 80 kWh battery pack and the system will be a 390 kW system. As per some of the sources, the weight of the battery unit in BMW i4 will be 550 Kg and this would be able to give you a range of 540 Kms to 600 Kms. It is also known that the car will come with 150 kW charging capabilities which means that you will be able to charge the car to 80% levels in just about 35 minutes. To give you a perspective, you can drive 62 miles with just 6 minutes of charge

BMW i4 is set to come up as a competition between Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model S. As per some of the leaked images, it is known that BMW i4 is going to be a four-door couple version and it is going to promote luxurious electric cars. In terms of performance, the car is expected to go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4 seconds and the top speed of the car is going to be around 193 Kmph. One thing to understand is that the car is still under testing and there are some things that are going to change in a year ahead but more or less, the design elements and the specifications should remain the same.

If we talk about the material used in the construction of the body, then we are sure that BMW is not going to use carbon fibre to build the body. Rather, it is expected that the automaker will be using aluminium for the manufacturing process.

As mentioned in several other sources, the BMW i4 is expected to launch in 2021 and this will fill up the gap between i3 and i8. You might be able to get a glimpse of the car in the showrooms by the end of 2020. It is also known that BMW is planning to launch as many as 25 electric cars by 2025 so there is a lot to come in next 6 years.


There are no details about the price yet but it is expected that the automaker will price the car aggressively so as to offer a tough fight to Tesla. We are going to update the details about the price once there is some news available about the same.
