Harley Davidson 2020 LiveWire Price in India, Specifications, Pros and Cons Review

You would have heard about the Revolt electric bikes in India but do you know which was the first manufacturer to launch electric bikes in India? Well, it was Harley Davidson and back in August 2019, they unveiled their first electric bike in India. It is known as LiveWire and the bike is expected to be commercially available in mid 2020. Let us learn more about this bike now.

Specifications, Accessories, and Features

The bike has the traditional muscular design and the battery pack is massive. The motor looks more like an engine in the bike and hence you do not feel anything strange about the bike. It is known that the capacity of the battery in this bike is 15.5 kWh. As per the information available, the bike will feature 7 ride modes which include pre-programmed modes for regular roads, rain, sports and range. Apart from this, there are 3 customizable modes available in the bike as well. In these customizable modes, you will be able to set the power, regeneration, traction and throttle control.

The best part is about the fast charge feature. This feature lets you charge the bike to 80% levels in just 40 minutes and you can charge it to 100% of the capacity in just 1 hour. The bike is really fast and to give you an idea, the bike can reach the top speed of 100 Kmph in just 3 seconds. Talking about the enhanced safety, the bike is also loaded with Electronic Chassis Control, ABS, Traction Control System and Drag Slip Control System.

The suspension of the bike can be adjusted easily and there is also a touch screen display on the bike which updates you about the speed, range and the battery status. It also provides you with alerts, music and navigational information.

  • Really expensive because of duties.

As per some of the sources, the bike may be priced at around Rs 50 Lakhs. The 50% of these could be the import duties and other such taxes as the bike is not manufactured in India. The price is yet to be confirmed by Harley Davidson once the launch approaches.
